Associate Professor Dr. Sudhee Sudasna, M.D.  The renowned orthopedic surgeon of Thailand. Formally associate professor Department of Orthopedic Surgery and Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University for 28 years. Four years of residency training in several universities in USA and earned Diploma, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1972. Dr. Sudhee presently holds private practice and consultant for private hospitals in Chiang Mai.

We are highly honored and most gratitude to Dr. Sudhee to grant TMC his valuable time to formulate a relevant subject based on his fascinated experience, the subject titled "Applied Anatomy & Common Pathologic Conditions of the Musculoskeletal System Related to Thai Massag" is a life time opportunity for TMC students taking the course on Teacher Training GCT Program.

"Pain Mechanism in Relation to Thai Massage"(Practical knowledge about neck and back pain) by Associate Professor Dr. Sudhee Sudasna, M.D. The most renowned Chiang Mai orthopedic surgeon and formal professor of Chiang Mai University Medical Center.

In this a rare experience class, Dr. Sudhee let the students get inside the “operating room” and see how some of the physical problems massage therapists encounter with their clients can be treated and learn the causes and how to prevent them. The professor will perform examination on students with existing condition and how to correct and prevent the problems.

Assistant Professor Dr. Vipavadee Chaisuksunt, Ph.D. Graduated from University College of London Ph.D. in Neuroscience and post at Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Chiang Mai University

TMC is highly honored to have Dr. Vipavadee to present her lecture in “Applied Anatomyin Thai Massage - Anatomy Cadaver Lab” at the Cadaver Lab, Anatomy Department, Chiang Mai University Medical Center together to TMC Teacher Training GCT students.

Both professors are kind and understanding, they simplify the difficult anatomy using terms and relevant to Thai massage practice. Students are prepared by TMC prior to attending the class. TMC prepares manual for study before going to Anatomy Lab class, this way, students are able to ask questions in class making the most precious time in class.

“Anatomy and Pathology in Relation to Thai Massage Study on Human Body  at the Cadaver Lab” at Chiang Mai University Medical Center by Dr. Vipavadee Chaisuksunt, Ph.D. Neurology and Assistant Professor Yingpan Anusri from Chiang Mai University Faculty of Medicine.

Professor Yingpan and Dr. Vipavadee will go in-depth with students on how the muscles, tendon, blood vessels, nerve and lymph look underneath our skin!

The professors will explain how the muscle and organs function and show the cautionary areas to Thai massage also the contraindication in relation to the human body. You will have a life time experience and some even get to the pint of understanding the true meaning of life!
Students will receive class preparation from TMC school and a lab manual prior to attend the class at the university.

Assistant Professor Dr. Aatit Puangmali, Ph.D. in Physiotherapy from University of Queensland, Australia, Dr. Aatit holds the post of Assistant Professor at Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University.

TMC is privileged and honored for an exchange education privilege with the Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University. Dr. Aatit presents his lecture to 5 week and 10 week program at TMC. “Applied Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology for Thai Massage”  student taking the course on Professional Intensive Thai Massage 150 Hour and “Applied Anatomy, Physical Examination for Thai Massage” to Teacher Training GCT Programs students.

"Fundamental Principle of Physical Examination for Thai Massage " And "Anatomy & Pathology condition and treatment with Advanced Thai Massage and Physiology Technique."
By Assistant Professor Dr. Aatit Paungmali from Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University.

This important course is for massage therapist and teacher to understand and be able to perform physical examination to evaluate the condition of the client in term of performing massage safely. Dr. Aatit will go in real action of how you can check the client’s body to find out if it is nerve related condition or muscle tension. The professor also teach the stretching exercise to help the client and for the therapist to teach the client for self-exercise.

Arjan Araya Yankai, M.S. in Physical Therapy from University of South Australia. Arjan Araya holds a senior lecturer position at Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University from 1995 until present and a former Head of Neurological Physical Therapy Branch/Field from 2005-2010.
Arjan Araya has extensive background in physical therapy as a research assistant at University of Sydney and Physiotherapy Assistant at Multiple Sclerosis Center, Australia during 2001, 2003-2004 and with teaching and practice in physical therapy at CMU until the present time. She has interest in improving lives for the elderly.  She authors and co-authors several presentations and researches in the area of biomechanics and ergonomics. TMC is honored to have Arjrn  Araya to join TMC adjunct professors and to lecture alternately with Dr. Aatit Paungmali on the subject of "Applied Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology for Thai Massage" to our students of  Professional Intensive Thai Massage -5 week and Teacher Training GCT 10 week programs.

 

Intensive Professional 150 Hour (i5) & Government Certified Teacher (GCT) Program

“Applied Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology for Thai Massage” to evaluate the recipient’s condition and to ensure safety. This class is taught by Asst. Professor Aatit Pongmali, Ph.D. or Arjan Araya Yankai professors from Department of Physical Therapy, Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, Chiang Mai University.
The professor will teach how massage therapists can identify and locate the part of the body in relation to Thai massage to provide effective result and avoid damage to the body. Students will learn about kinesiology and   the body movement in Thai massage. This is the must attend class for all massage therapists!

Kanchanoo Muangsiri, B.A., LMT in Mass Communication with vast experience in teaching and training to the Thai community and to refugees.  Kanchanoo (Noo) worked in the Consortium Program, refugees camp for 3 years to prepare refugees from neighboring countries to be able to live in the new western world countries.
Her other challenged work was under the Thai German Highland Development for, the joint venture program with the Narcotics Control Board of Thailand, funded by the GTZ, Republic of Germany government.  Noo worked as the secretary to the director of the training program and oversee the planning, training and the outcome of the project. Noo worked at the American Consulate in Chiang Mai as Commissary Manager for 5 years while operating her own business in Dental lab among the teaching Thai language for diplomats and trained Thai teachers to set classes in English language.
In the field of Thai Traditional Medicine, Kanchanoo is knowledgeable in Thai plants and herbs.  She is a certified Thai massage practitioner and holds a post in the National Committee for Skills and Testing Standard in Thai Massage of the Labor and Development Department. She is a co-founder of TMC and co-author of the Thai Massage book with Jan.  She is a vice president of Special People Foundation, Thailand. Kanchanoo has been invited to lecture and host training in Thai massage in several countries: Australia, Egypt, Malaysia and Thailand.

 “Theory of Thai Massage” lecture by Kanchanoo Muangsiri, TMC School Director Students participate in group discussion and role play to develop quality Thai massage with the understanding of wholeness. Quality Thai massage is more than just knowing how to give massage but include keys knowledge.
Arjan Kanchanoo will lead students to bring out their own vision and quality to integrate in their massage profession. The class merge all students to get involve and to share and learn as one.

The teacher training education provides foundation of education in teaching.  The class concentrate on the core knowledge in bring about the understanding and hence the ability to teach. This is an intensive but effective way of learning. Before anyone can teach, one must possess the knowledge to teach. These courses will get the students ready to perform the real life teaching set up.

” Teaching and Career Business in Thai Massage” lecture by Kanchanoo Muangsiri, TMC School Director.
Arjan Kanchanoo will conduct the discussion and preparation for GCT students in their career in Thai massage business and teaching profession.
The class will combine students plan, idea, dream, wishes and put them to discussion and bring about the workable project. Students may come up with plan for future association among themselves though on different part of the world.

This class of GCT students get ready before graduation with their photos promotion preparation. The school offer opportunity with school set up and assistant to prepare to students to prepare and to business promotion .
